In the battle of life “All that a man achieves, and all that he fails to achieve, are the direct result of his own thoughts.”
― James Lane Allen
“Fortune favors the brave.”

“Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”
― Robert Frost
The road not taken by Robert Frost is an epitome of a brave soul. It is the spontaneous instinct of the soul and not of the sword.
The Human Species
The human clan is one of the most fearful species on the planet, and what makes him so, is the society he lives in, his morals, duties obligations and what not. He has to abide by them all just to have a stand in the so-called ‘society’. And this is all what makes him eligible to be acceptable and be a part of the crowd.
The Modern Man
In the dim and bustle of today’s fast paced, rat raced life, the quality of bravery seems to be a luxury.
The monotony of time and life these days seems to be pain and suffering everywhere, immortality lurking in and around every corner, corruption pervading in all, we hold scared. Not every human being around is courageous enough to travel the road not taken.
Our ancestors have imbibed in us the preaching of being true, honest and being brave. Which in order to fit in today’s modern world we have forgotten or I would rather say we have neglected those preaching.
Our soul needs to be brave and pure, but with the adulterations of the monotonous lifestyle, the soul is not ready and capable enough to accept the wisdom of bravery. They are not even ready to stand up for what they actually believe in.
Mahatma Gandhi has aptly said that “Bravery is not a quality of the body. It is of the soul.”
Brave are those who listen to their ‘soul’; their true instinct, their inner-self. Not just listen, brave are those who abides by their soul.
“And one has to understand that braveness is not the absence of fear but rather the strength to keep going forward despite the fear.”
― Paulo Coelho
Fortune Favors the Brave
The Greek writer and philosopher Euripides once said:
“The man who knows when not to act wise. To my mind, bravery is forethought.”
It is a sign of wisdom to be brave and a sign of foolishness to think it is only based on the power of muscle or body and anything but the soul.
“A brave soul is a thing which all things serve.”
― Alexander Smith
To outshine as a person, fighting against all the odds of our society, one require bravery of the soul. Courageous souls have a matchless will and determination to make life better and to make this world a better place to live in.
In the battle of life, the soul is braver than the sword. It is the brave who survive and live life according to their terms and teach everybody around them to do the same. One has to be consistently courageous to have the best of the world, and to have the best of his personal satisfaction.
“I beg you take courage; the brave soul can mend even the disaster.”
― Catherine the Great
