Beauty happens through inner work. Dedicating yourself to being a better human being takes a lot of work.

All babies are born into the world beautiful and pure. Everyone would agree, that being in the presence of a newborn instantly calms one. Being around children goes to show that being beautiful is our inheritance.
We were also children once. However, as we grow into adults, we forget what we already have. The inner work of improving ourselves helps us to go back to the beautiful place within us.

To Let Your Light Shine Through, You Must Be Ready To Polish Yourself
A person gets a brass object from a shop. He places it in one corner of his house. The brass is appreciated by all the members of his family. Then for years, the object just lies in the same corner. It’s not dusted or cared for. It gets ignored. In time, it ends up looking dull and tainted with thick stains.
When someone sees the brass object, they feel repulsive. They turn away from it calling it dirty and old. They also consider it as not usable and are ready to throw it away.
But then one day the person decides to give the brass object attention. He decides to clean the brass object. So he prepares. He gets a good muslin cloth and a powerful cleaning agent called Brasso. Then he starts to rub the brass object with the cloth that contains this cleaning agent. He is at it. Consistently rubbing back and forth. Over time slowly what’s revealed is the original colour of the brass object. It’s shiny and looks as if it is new.
The person then realises its value. Everyone around can’t help but notice the brass object’s beauty.

Before your beauty emanates from within, you need to willing to put in the work. It’s worth it. Be ready to polish yourself every day and every moment. So you can see your value.
