“Being brave is an amalgamation of the heart and mind.”
“Cowards die many times before their deaths. The brave experience death only once.”
― William Shakespeare

Long gone are those days when bravery was synonym only to courage, valiance and heroism.
Today it is not limited only in the arena of battle field alone, as in today’s fast paced illusionistic and hyper active world, the danger and difficulties arising across are widespread in different areas of life similar to those from the battle fields.
Being brave is no more considered being fearless, it rather means that a person does whatever he thinks he should do, regardless of the sword hanging over to his neck. Moreover brave are those who bounce back with a dazzle.
Are People Born Brave?
The major dilemma now is -“is bravery something to be learned? Or is it something we are born with? Or is it an inherited quality?”
The answer is none of the above. It is something which imbibes in self-belief that makes us scale the highest of the mountains we ever dreamt of and do whatever we believed we never even could.
It is something which is the reflex of our brain, mind and heart. It is the very instinct one gets while dealing with a current situation.
Being Brave is being Strong Enough to Keep Going
George R. R. Martin in his famous Games of thrones series once wrote –
“Fear cuts deeper than sword.”
Bravery is the ability to deal with our fear or danger without the blink of an eyelid.
“And one has to understand that braveness is not the absence of fear, but rather the strength to keep going forward despite the fear.”
― Paulo Coelho
It is the spur of the moment emotion; it is a leap forward without any hesitation which one takes when others are still working on their problem.
In taking that leap, one may succeed or even may have a major downfall; but brave are only those who bounce back from such falls with a dazzle.
It is the leap again; it is about taking the chance again even after knowing the repercussions.
One should have the strength of their inner conviction, which will make them act. It is the self-belief and the clarity of thought which goes parallel.
And this leap is what makes the person keep going; it is what keeps him alive. It helps one test his off limits and makes one reach his final destination which was once just a dream to him.
Never Back Down!
Lana Del Rey has once said that “Being brave means knowing that when you fail, you don’t fail forever.”
This is very descriptive of the person who is taking the leap after the worst downfall.
The one who is still full of optimism that sooner or later one fine day, he’ll succeed. It’s his never give up attitude which still keeps him going.
And one fine day when he’ll overcome his fear and realize his inner self, that day he’ll learn the alchemy of this world and will be one of the finest alchemists.
He’ll bounce back with a dazzle. He’ll be the Phoenix, who has risen from his ashes and the world will know of his heroism and his bravery.
