We learn many life skills and experiences from trials and errors in our life. Without facing bad days, we never know how it really feels to have good days and to appreciate the same. Happiness would have no value without the struggle. Contrast helps you decide on what you want. But, facing your problems without fear needs some courage.

Thomas Paine identifies one of the primary qualities of a real man and quote: “The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection.” It means that a real man never panics when confronted with difficulties. He knows they are a part of life. He gathers strength from pain and failures and grows positive by reflecting on his bad decisions.

Learn from Your Errors

Life is nothing but a beautiful journey of trial and errors. You will never get everything done right. Its only you who have to do and make things at their correct places. You are bound to make mistakes. There is no right or wrong way to live your life. You can only learn from a mistake after you admit that you have done it. When you try to blame others for your circumstances, you immediately distance yourself from any possible lesson. It takes courage to own up to your mistakes. A real man learns from his mistakes. Though times and situations are sometimes tougher, everyone faces in their lifetime. It takes a real man to gather strength in the face of trouble and move on with a smile. You cannot change the world by being fearful or by cribbing about your circumstances. Therefore, why not be brave and face your problems with a good attitude. A real man is never ashamed of his mistakes. He takes them as signs that he was on the wrong part and rectifies it. Failures in life teach you some of the most valuable lessons in life. Strive for the best in any given circumstance. A winner always sees better side in any situation. He keeps his head high and conquers his troubles.

You cannot Change the World

The world would not change for you. It will run at its pace. The world and time never waits for anyone. Your sour mood is not going to change anything. You may get surrounded by people to sympathize with their words but, at the end of the day, sympathy has no real value. People’s sympathy is never going to change your circumstances. A real man doesn’t waste his time in gaining sympathy. He learns his lessons and moves to the next chapter in life.

Change Your Attitude towards Things

Every problem has a solution. Do not ponder on the issue too much. Clear your mind up and try to find a solution. Being sad or low at the beginning is natural, but you need to start looking beyond that. Overreaction and giving up is not going to help any more. Break free from the pattern of negative thoughts and be ready to face your life situations. The bills won’t be paid on their own. Take responsibility for your actions and reflect on them. See every challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow into your grander self. Learn to accept your circumstances and deal with them in a positive way. The worst that can happen is that you will fail. A person who has already failed has nothing to lose.

Life is an journey of adventures which is full of ups and downs. If you are too fixated on your problems, you may never enjoy your life. Things will never be perfect. Ups and downs in life make it worth living. Learn to ignore some things. Be brave and always look ahead no matter how the circumstances might be. If a curveball is thrown at you from life; deal with it and learn from it by analysing it. After you have devoted enough time to reflection; move on to the next adventure.
