Friendship is one of those relations where freedom of choice exists. It means one has the freedom to choose his/her own friends, unlike the blood relationships where no freedom of choice exists. It is also one of the beautiful relations which exists in this world as there are no limitations like other relations.
One can choose his/her friend from any country, any religion, engaged with any culture or any kind of languages. There are no limitations but the ultimate freedom of choice which is the most beautiful thing about friendship.
Qualities of a True Friend
One of the most important qualities of true friendship is mutual understanding. A true friend always understands the needs and the problems of his/her friend. There isn’t any relationship where one can share all the aspects of his/her life. It’s only friendship which allows us to share each and every aspect of our life.
Whenever we get stuck in trouble and need help, the first thing which comes to our mind is to have a friend beside. A friend indeed is always ready for help whenever we need them, without even asking about the issue because he/she understands and believes us.
Lucius Annaeus Seneca in his famous friendship quote said,
“One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship is to understand and to be understood.”
In absence of understanding, friendship could not survive.
Friends give value to each other’s feelings. It’s friends who provide the helping hand of support whenever needed which encourages us to move forward in the difficult situations of life. In absence of friends, there will be only a few pages in the book of memorable moments of life.
Conclusion
Friends are one of the most valuable assets of life. They are the gift of God to make our life colorful and full of joy.
There are no limitations of choice in friendship. We can choose anyone as our friend which allows the elimination of discrimination in the name of religion, culture, country, and languages.
The quality of mutual understanding makes it more qualitative and valuable to all of us.
