I didn’t meet a teacher who inspired me. I used to look up to my father for guidance and inspiration. He is my role model and a true Inspirer. Then, I met my Guru who changed my life forever.
What do you see in a teacher?
A teacher is someone who can realize your potential.
A teacher is someone who provides wings to your dream.
A teacher is someone who can change your life for the better.
And the teacher is not necessarily someone from your school; it can be your parents or anyone who can inspire and motivate you.
Inspire To Discover Yourself
Do you think cramming books, attending lectures, and writing assignment can decide who you are? If yes, you are on the wrong track. If no, you are on the right path.
Now, I don’t say that the above-mentioned methods of learning are inappropriate. But, they are insufficient. You cannot judge the capability of an individual on the mere basis of these factors. A great teacher helps students to discover themselves.
Your life is defined by formatted texts and framed rules and regulations. Everyone is unique. It takes time to discover your capabilities. You have to discover yourself. Your fate cannot be decided by the society. You have to explore the opportunities by experimenting and observing.
At the same time, you must realize that you have a duty towards the society. A great teacher will instill value of education in students so that they become an inspiration in the society.
If I talk about my father, he never asked me to indulge in studies all the time. I was always involved in sports and social activities. Similarly, my Guru helped in overcoming my fear of communication. He helped me in facing my fear so that I can realize my potential. In both the cases, they have been my inspiration.
Not Abide by Listed Rules
Every individual is different. Then, how can you control everyone according to the predefined rules? There is a general notion in the society. You have to complete your schooling, graduation, and finally a secured job.
What about your dreams and ambitions? You have to understand that it’s your life and you are the administrator of your activities.
Nobody has the right of steering your life. Just follow your heart and mind; you will discover your full potential. This is what a great teacher inculcates in a student.
You want to inspire the coming generation. How do you plan to do it? For this, you have to break free from the tedious rules of the society, explore your strengths and capabilities, hone your skills, and emerge victorious in life.
Participation and Communication
A great teacher knows that positive growth is experienced with love and affection and not by scolding.
That’s why; a teacher should always appreciate the efforts of students. When you appreciate the efforts, it boosts the morale of the students and helps them to perform better.
Practical experience and exposure is a requirement for proper learning. Participation in social activities helps us to understand the problems in the society. Moreover, it helps to understand the methods of survival and exposes us to the different strata of the society.
Communication is equally important for the overall development of the student. Communicating is not just about speaking; it’s about listening, understanding and then replying accordingly.
Participation and Communication develop social instincts in a person. It helps in developing empathy and kindness for the underprivileged.
This way, you contribute towards society. You inspire and motivate people for the development of the society. A great teacher truly inspires by inculcating these attributes in students.
I believe, we should strive for a learning atmosphere where a student grows academically, socially and emotionally.
