Many think that housewives are not enough capable of getting success. They are not celebrities, they are not a subject to write about, they are not someone to put their stories on social media. But everyone is failing to see that because of their efforts, men are successful today. Here is one such housewife’s journey which showcases how being a simple housewife, Dr. Shila Dasgupta became a special mother, an achiever and now standing a class apart.

She was born in Katihar of Bihar but came to Siliguri, West Bengal, where she grew up. Later she moved to Puttaparthi in Andhra Pradesh where she is currently living for the past 15 years. She always used to live her life with bubbling enthusiasm despite all types of ups and downs as only then one could play the game of life properly.
During the final year of her college, she caught fire suddenly and her long hair and back portion of her left leg got fully burnt. All requested her to drop out of the final exam but she never used to entertain sympathy from the beginning of her life. So she struggled and studied hard from the hospital itself and passed B.Sc. (Bio) with distinction. Though those burning wounds were outside her body but there was a burning desire inside her which never let her down.
A New Journey as a Special Mother
Shila completed her B.Mus. degree from Allahabad University. She used to give performances and still now teaches music to many students in abroad too. She is a renowned Cook, an Acupressurist, a Reflexologist, a Naturopathist, and a Numerologist too.
After her marriage, the couple was very adjustive. They used to accept everything happily as they believed that, complaining in life never allowed them to build a happy home. Life taught her so many lessons and today she became a perfect woman, an ideal wife, and a proud mother. She left her job to take care of her elder son Sai Kaustuv who was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta which causes innumerable fractures due to brittle bones. So it was a huge challenge for Shila and Kaushik to accept Sai Kaustuv and look after him with extra care.
Shila has a younger son too, Kushal who is also very talented and physically fit. He is a young multifaceted talented guy, Guinness World Record Holder, many other National and World Records Holder, Photographer, Videographer, Short Film and Documentary Maker, Music Composer and Multimedia Expert.
Looking after Sai Kaustuv was a big task as to understand his emotions was itself a journey for Dr. Shila Dasgupta. For others, it may look like a difficult job to take care of a specially-abled child. But for them, this was like their worship. Shila says, “Sai taught me patience, perseverance and true happiness which are the qualities you can rarely find around.”
“A mother’s arms are more comforting than anyone else’s.”

Dr. Shila Dasgupta is an Inspiration for Every Woman
Her two sons are her jewels and they both are so talented that no one dare to ask her what were her challenges to bring them up. Nowadays, many housewives, besides carrying the entire burden of their homes, go out to work outside for a balanced economy in the family. Let all housewives get their own time to fulfill their passion. Let the husband and wife share ideas together to get a conclusion from many stressful issues. Let everyone get motivated through Dr. Shila’s research and come forward for building a great society. She discovered her real and inner self which motivated millions of mothers, housewives and young girls around the world.
There are many ways to deal with stress but without a solid spiritual connection, those ways are just surface fixes. You must know who you are, and what your life is all about to live a life of ease and peace. A spiritual way of living can help people increase their patience. People can experience bliss & inner peace in their everyday lives. In today’s corporate life, people are very busy like a bee. So she has told what can be done in the shortest time through her record and research. By practicing Hanuman Chalisa, people can solve their day to day issues and can achieve success easily.
She made a new national & world record by chanting whole Hanuman Chalisa in the least time. Recently she completed her research on stress-free living through the Art of Spirituality and received an honorary doctorate degree from The Diocese of Asia at Chennai. She was honored by Honourable Judge N.F.J. Ponnudurai (President Human Rights Vigilance). She is a Kalams Book of Record Holder from Chennai and also got honored with India Book of Records from New Delhi.
The World Needs More Shila and More Power to Win
On her journey from a simple housewife to a world record holder, Dr. Shila shares,
“God made us special parents and I always tried my level best to handle my job as a special wife too. Being a special mother, I always give value to my special kids. Never complained about my fate as who knows maybe these special kids may change our destiny. They just need cooperation and love and eventually be able to create history.”
Today’s Dr. Shila Dasgupta is not made up of one day’s effort. It is made up of years of struggles, hard works and patience credited together as a strong successful personality who dared to face the truth, never allowed sympathetic incidents to take over her life and never failed to give the best efforts to win everybody’s love.
“There is no tool for development more effective than the empowerment of women.”
