Light dispels darkness in a flash. Where there is a presence of light, there cannot be the presence of darkness.
Our minds are a powerful instrument. It has the capacity to absorb, create, sense and feel.
A positive clear mind is a prerequisite to leading a good life.
“If you want light to come into your life, you need to stand where it is shining.”
― Guy Finley
Choose To Lighten Up Now
We’ve all heard the phrase ‘mind over matter’. The mind-body connection is valuable to understand. The mind is the faculty where we store our emotions, likes, dislikes, memories and beliefs. The physical body is the home to the mind.
The sense organs of actions and the sense organs of perception work together. Therefore, the mind and the body work together. How you keep your mind affects the body. How you keep your body affects your mind. In order to lift ourselves up, we must entertain positive thoughts.
“Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.”
― Roy T. Bennett
Ways To Lighten Up Now
Here are a few ways that you can lift your mind up and lead a positive life.
Repeat positive affirmations for a healthy mind.
Know that you are free to change your mind. You are free to choose again even if you made a mistake. A lot of times, a negative belief system creates obstacles for us. Know that you can change this.
For example, a person may have really bad eating habits. In order to change this, the person starts to make lifestyle changes.
Along with this he regularly tells himself, “I am getting healthy. I am improving.” These thoughts then support his actions.
Stop Criticizing Yourself
One very important aspect of developing positivity is to not criticize ourselves. As adults, we tend to be very unkind to ourselves.
Who can know you more than yourself?
Show a little kindness to yourself. Give yourself support as you make those positive changes.
Remember criticism is also a negative thought pattern. Somehow you’ve picked it up while growing up. You are free to change this. Every time you catch yourself criticizing, stop and affirm a positive encouraging statement.
- I am not good enough becomes I am good enough.
- I didn’t do well becomes I did well.
- I cannot do this becomes I am fully capable of doing this.
Be the light for yourself and you will see beautiful changes happen in your life.
“Those who distrust their own abilities are being too wicked to themselves, discouraging themselves from doing what they should have been excelling in. If you are good at discouraging yourself, you can’t be a good leader because leadership is built on inspiring others to face challenges.”
