I remember the times when everyone criticized me for being a writer. The toughest job was to convince my parents about my decision. My friends were living a “secured” life in metropolitan cities and here I was, struggling to create my own niche.
For my family, fear of the social stigma of the society was more dominant than my personal choice. I was desperate to escape from this confined shell and explore the opportunities.
We live only once and we should make our life worth living. Either we can spend it according to the customs of the society or establish our own identity.
Search for Your Identity
I don’t say it’s easy but yes, it’s definitely worth it. You will fall, you will stumble, you will be pulled back, but you must not stop. Only one thing stops you from reaching your goal– YOU!
I am an engineer by profession (worst in my batch!) and everyone expects me to work in a well-established multinational company. But, what’s the point if I am not able to perform at my full capability?
First, I am wasting my precious moments of youth at a place where I don’t belong. Secondly, an artistic person is dying a slow death inside me. Am I living a life? No, I’m spending it for someone else’s dream.
No one has the right of controlling my destiny. I’m the master of my ship and I’ll sail it in my chosen direction.
Make Mistakes, it’s Important!
When I started my first blog in 2012, it failed miserably. It was my first time and I made many mistakes. I faced a defeat. In 2013, I started my second blog on fitness. I wrote great content but couldn’t offer something unique. Again, I failed.
My parents, my friends and well wishers lost faith in me. But I was determined to succeed. I analyzed my mistakes, researched a lot, and started again with full motivation. This time, I was successful.
What was my secret of success? I believed in myself, I believed in my dreams, and I defeated defeat with confidence and hard work. As I said earlier, it’s only you and your goal. Nothing can stop you except yourself.
Humanity is not just about serving others; it’s about conditioning yourself so that you can contribute to the society and create your own identity. Change begins with you.
Life is not just about goals and ambitions. You achieved your aim and now you are successful in your life. You are planning for your next venture or expansion. But wait, what about your hobbies and interests? What do you plan to do with your wealth?
Do the things you always craved for. Spend times with your loved ones, buy a cruiser bike and explore the mountains, contribute for a social cause.
Life has so much to offer. Don’t confine yourself to a boring, stereotype life. Unleash the chains and fly like dragons in the sky-carefree and untameable.
Patience and Optimism
To be successful, you need these two virtues. In life, you will go through failures. If you are not experiencing failures, you are not moving in the right direction. Don’t get devastated by failures but instead, learn from your mistakes.
Moreover, there will be times when you will feel like quitting. Your dreams will be overpowered by negative thoughts. At this time, you will realize the importance of patience and optimism in your life. When I realized the importance of patience and optimism, I carved my own identity.
Live a life surpassing all failures and defeat because you are defined by your inner instincts and not by your inhibitions.
