“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve” is a famous quote attributed to the American author of personal-success literature and motivational speaker Napoleon Hill. It is a very profound statement on the powers of our subconscious mind to shape our destiny. Positive mental attitude affect every aspects of our life and brings out the positivity in everything that we interact with.
In any situation of life, a person who has belief in himself and an attitude that is brimming with positivity will always find a reason to achieve something positive. Some call it mind over matter, and how our mind can be programmed to seek only the good and use our actions to achieve a good outcome. Is this saying really true? Does it work for everyone? Read on, to know.
Cultivating a Positive Attitude
How can one conceive and believe in anything good ever happening to him, unless he anticipates and wishes for good. Can a negative mind conceive anything good? The answer itself holds the key to the power of our belief and how crucial it is to have a positive attitude.
It is said that,
“When you truly want something desperately, the universe conspires to make your dreams come true!”
Incredible it may look, but it is true for every successful individual on planet earth. Every successful person will tell you that every day they visualized their success. It was the power of their belief that made them work hard and think of ways and means to go through their journey of success. Once you start conceiving and believing in your success, you can see the transformation.
Every effort leads to the right direction. If a door closes, several new doors open up. A positive attitude makes us look at the doors otherwise they would not have been visible. To make the best out of every situation, we must have a positive attitude, to bounce back and focus on what we have been aspiring for all along.
Our Mind Helps Create an Indomitable Spirit Within Us
It may sound incredible, but look around and you will find the world full of such people who used their minds to conceive the outcome they wanted, and they were able to create it for themselves. Nearer home, there is a true story about a young woman who conquered the tallest mountain peak in the world. A feat which is near-impossible even for the healthy and fit, and this young lady had lost one of her leg in an accident. Yet, it did not deter her from relinquishing her dream and she went on to achieve it.
In any field of life, if the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve it. Think of anyone who has been successful in his or her endeavor, and you will find that from the very beginning they were very clear in their mind, they conceived the ultimate picture of their success, they had ample belief that they can make a success of it and they realized their dreams and aspirations.
The Mind is a Powerful Tool, Start Using It
Brain and Mind are not the same. Brain is a tangible object that can be seen and touched. It is the physical organ made of tissues and blood vessels, but mind is something much more profound and superior. Your mind holds the keys to your thoughts, belief, attitude, feelings and many non-tangibles that are transcendental.
Our mind is very powerful, and controls all our actions. Once you imprint your mind with what your vision are, conceive the product or outcome, and then have an unerring belief in it, your mind gets to work. It will pull you in the right direction. It will influence your choices towards those things only that help in achieving your vision. It will not let anything, like a temptation to digress you from your path. It will empower you to overcome any constraints that come in your way. Like a flowing river, it will find its own course. That is the power of your mind!
Once you get your mind to that stage of firm conviction and belief, you can achieve it. There is absolutely no doubt that “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.”
