Money is an Instrument of Freedom, but it can never Substitute Freedom
“Money won’t create success, the freedom to make it will.” ― Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid revolutionary in South Africa. He was instrumental in changing the social fabric of South Africa.

Mandela has inspired many people around the world. He understood the importance of freedom and opportunity.

In his famous quote “Money won’t create success, the freedom to make it will” he explains that even if we all need money to survive, it is the freedom that can help you achieve real success and fulfillment in life.

The freedom to make money will assist you in becoming satisfied, but money alone will never make you happy.

Can Money be the Solution of all Your Problems?

Most conflicts around the world are stuck around money. Some examples are income gaps, recessions, limited social services, and an unbalanced tax economy. But can money truly be as valuable as freedom?

Money is necessary to lead a comfortable life and survive, but it does not guarantee success.

A good example would be of apartheid in which Blacks in South Africa were not allowed to conduct business in White people’s areas, nor do they were provided license.

Though some Blacks had enough money, they were not happy because they lacked freedom in their life – The liberty to do things that a White man could and enjoy life. Only freedom could help them lead a fulfilled life.

If you do not have the freedom to do what you desire, life becomes meaningless. Money is a very poor substitute for freedom.

The Best things in Life are Free

Money can acts as a substitute of happiness for a short period, but it won’t do so in the long run. Long lasting happiness can only be achieved through liberty in our thoughts, action and system.

The best things in life are free. The things that truly inspire you and help you move far in life are all free. All you need is your freedom to do everything in life.

To succeed in something, you need the liberal environment to choose to concentrate on a given field.

Money can buy opportunities, but it can never take you to the heights of success without freedom.

If you do not have the rights to do, speak out or be the way your heart desires, no any amount of money can pacify you.

A poor man who can state what he wants and be true to his convictions is much happier than a wealthier person with much restriction in life.

How to Measure Success?

Success is often measured by the amount of money someone has acquired during life.

Everyone has his own definition of success. But defining success on the amount of money and properties someone has earned, it is hollow idea.

Any amount of money gathered in life is useless unless it brings satisfaction in our life and can inculcate good moral among us.

Money can never teach you to conquer your fears and be free neither it can alone show you how to trust yourself and take risks to be free.

Money can never buy peace and happiness of our mind, body and society which is the leading factor for success, growth and development.

Material goods cannot buy happiness for you. Success in life should be equated on your happiness levels. True happiness can be achieved only through freedom.

Freedom is essential for any healthy and fulfilled life. Hence, since the dawn of time people have been fighting for their freedom and liberty.

Conclusion

You need to change your thinking and relate success to more measurable and worthy things like having a career that you enjoy, having a loving family, and living freely with the ability to do what you want. Freedom is our most precious possession.

Freedom is a state in which everyone is given the opportunity to speak, act, and pursue happiness without unnecessary external restrictions.

Money cannot offer you the things that freedom can. It is easy to make money, but freedom, if lost, is difficult to gain.
