Nature Knows No Indecencies; Man Invents Them
“Nature knows no indecencies; man invents them.” ― Mark Twain

Nature operates independently of any judgment as humans do.

Nature does not differentiate between a man and an animal or between a tree and a bird. Nature is open for all, nature knows nothing about partiality.

Nature is operating naturally without any prejudices for or against man. But man having loads of prejudices often levels the nature as good or bad as per his/her own perception.

Man invents all types of indecencies about nature and how it operates.

“Nature knows no indecencies; man invents them.”
― Mark Twain

This famous quote from Mark Twain is very pertinent for us when we strive to understand the relationship between nature and the man.

Nature knows no differences, hence it acts impartially. Nature knows no indecencies as we know nature is not judgmental like us.

Man invents all indecencies, differences, partialities as man is often opinionative.

Nature operates with its instinct not with judgments, hence it acts similarly for all. Man invents differences in society. Man invents the perception of difference from nature.

So it’s man who is to blame for all kinds of indecencies.

Protection or Destruction of Nature – Is it Nature or Nurture?

You have probably heard a lot about the state of nature. Efforts are being made to combat global warming.

It is human nature to make mistakes, but did we not see this coming?

The forests are being destroyed constantly without reforestation. How then do we complain about changes in weather patterns?

What role have we played in the destruction of nature?

Nature knows no destruction or construction but only evolution. Whatever created and gets vanished in nature is part of nature which is required for evolution, which is purely natural.

If we look at the history of mankind, we can see not nature but only the man invents all sorts of destructions. Man invents destructions for his own greedy gratification or to practice violence.

Man’s Power Over Nature

Despite our mistakes, we can make the change we desire. If what it will take is to reduce pollution to restore nature, you can start by reducing your carbon footprint. Reduce pollution. Dispose off garbage as you should.

All we need is to take responsibility for the environment, one step at a time.

Show nature love and it will reciprocate eventually. However, the time to act is now.

    • Plant trees.
    • Protect the wetlands.
    • Teach the children the value of nature.
    • Realize deep within yourselves, how nature knows no difference.

What are we doing to get rid of the situation?

We should understand when man invents indecencies, man can also invent decencies. Are we coming out with eco-friendly products? Are we practicing environment-friendly practices?

If the answer to these questions is YES, then we can say man invents decencies.

Again, it is easy to assume it is the leadership that should come up with solutions. We all have a responsibility to protect nature as this is where we live. It is home. Like nature knows no difference but its responsibilities.

Learn from Nature

Nature knows how to co-exist and how every element supports the other. Plants need water, sun, and air for the photosynthesis process. Plants, in turn, purify the air.

Animals feed on plants but they give back as well. Look at the elephant. It will eat vegetation but it also plays an important role in the regrowth of vegetation. It is not just about taking. It is about giving back.

Conclusion

Nature knows the process of growth, the spirit of evolution. Nature knows how to express it without prejudice. Humans certainly have a lot to learn from its environs because nature knows.
