The only love, which is deprived in our lives, is Self-Love. If it is not embraced, beauty will fade away. Everyone in the world wants to look beautiful. But all are not born with same body type or skin colour. In fact, it is not their choice. Still racism and mocking on body and colour prevents.
Are you also among the ones who consider oneself to be not beautiful? But, Hey! What does beauty means? Is it just looking attractive from outside? The definition of beauty may differ from person to person. But the most beautiful person is one who considers oneself beauty out of all odds.
Yes, we came on earth alone, we do things for ourselves and even die alone, then why there is so much fuss around being tagged beautiful by others? People try to seek attention of others flaunting their beautiful body or face, but those attention seekers are the ones who lack self-love the most. It is because, if you will love yourself, find yourself beautiful enough, you would not mind what others think about you or find you beautiful.
Oscar Wilde says: “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong Romance.”
- Self-Love is the only love, which lasts for lifetime and keeps you much happier and self-content in life.
- Beauty goes parallel to self-love. When you consider yourself to be lovely, you are the most beautiful person.
The Art of Self-Love
How does a plant grow? It is when we nurture the seeds and it grows up to a beautiful plant. There is an unnourished seed inside each one of us. We just need to nurture that seed called Self-love and it will grow into selfless love for ourselves. The good news is, we can understand and imbibe the art of Self-love within us.
Try to make love to yourself and the key is staying affirmative/positive all time round.
The Three W’s
For positivity comes from within and if you stay positive and negate all the negativity around, you would reach the path of self-confidence and self-love. Always remember the three W’s, which can be termed to be the Principles for self-love:-
- Who You Are? – Make sure you never forget that who you are rather than focusing on what you are?
- What You Want? – It is always the matter of fact that keeping yourself up is all you need.
- What is More Valuable? – You are more valuable than anybody else. This cannot be changed.
Here are some of the ways with which you can start exploring your inner love and beauty:
1. Self-Quality Time
How often do you give time to yourselves? We are so engrossed in our digital world, meeting friends that we forget to give time to ourselves. Set aside few minutes/hours for self-love and engross in some or the other activities which you like. It may be dancing, painting, singing or anything you want to do. Meditate or exercise to connect to your inner self. This will help you love yourself more and stay positive.
2. Pamper Yourself with Self-Love
When was the last time you bought something you like? Each and every person has a bucket list of their own. Have you ever tried to fulfil it? Go and explore the things you like to do, be it doing adventure activities, shopping for yourself or for your home or anything else. Pamper oneself with gifts and you would not expect a gift from others.
3. Praise Yourself
How many times have you seen in the mirror and praised yourself or even said I love you? Do it often and you will feel good. Appreciate your doings and this will definitely let you love self more.
4. Stay away from Frenemies
Your enemies are not the worst to degrade you but it is those friends who act as enemies (Frenemies) and always strive to put you down. Do not waste time on thinking what they say and think about you.
5. Rise and Shine
Keeping away from all negativity, doing what you like, rewarding oneself daily, relaxing and acknowledging self, these all activities will make you rise above yourself and shine to the world.
Showering love and praising of others beauty always, may leave us behind in self-love and introspecting our own beauty. Remember, loving yourself is all what you can do because you cannot move out and hope to be a person you want without it.
As Buddha says: “You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection.”
