Pulapaka Susheela, a personality who is ruling the heart of millions is an out-standing playback singer. From the early age she had an inclination towards singing. The lady gave her life to worshipping music. She was born in the family that loved music. She learned music from the Maharaja’s music college and then graduated from the Andhra University. She got married to Dr. Mohan Rao. The couple is proud parents of a son.
Career
Early life of Pulapaka Susheela was inclined towards learning music. She used to participate in many music competitions when she was a child. This not only enhanced her voice but also gave a new confidence to this elite vocalist. She has performed many songs for the All India Radio (AIR). She had a breakthrough of her singing career after a music director, Pendyala Nageswara Rao came to AIR to look for new and fresh voice. She intoned her first playback song in the year 1952 in a Tamil movie. Her first song was recorded in two languages; Kannada and Tamil. After this she was signed by the AVM studios. In the year 1954, Pulapaka made her debut in the Kannada language.
When she entered the music industry, there were many singers who were ruling the industry. But because of her spectacular and magnificent talent, she made her own place in this industry. The year 1955 marked the turning point in the life of this elite vocalist. Every music director wanted to cast Pulapaka in their movie. The critics and audiences started admiring her voice. She ruled the music industry from the time period of 1955 to 1985. She has given the world more than 40,000 remarkable songs in different languages.
