Relation Between Confidence and Good Thoughts

“Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know and capable of more than you can imagine.”
― Roy T. Bennett

Our subconscious mind is always active and always recording. It has no filter or bias against anything and stores everything we hear, say or do in the form of impressions.

For example, if a person is told that he is ugly or stupid by his friends or parents, even at a young age, it will affect his every day decisions and choices as an adult, even when the memory of the event is gone.

Thus, the “talk” that we continuously have in our mind with ourselves is extremely important. It affects the positivity vs. negativity fight in various ways. Thus, the mind has to be filled with good thoughts.

Simple statements like “I am good enough” or “I am as smart as anybody else in this room” can bring a lot of changes in our decisions and choices and thus affect the positivity vs. negativity fight going on in our mind.

Here are some things that can boost self-confidence through good thoughts:

    • Making our mistakes our stepping stones, not hurdles.
    • Knowing our strengths and working on them.
    • Treating self like we treat our loved ones.
    • Staying in the company of positive people.

Being a literature student, words flow through my veins. As a result of this, whenever I am down, I start brimming with words and the only thing that relieves me is writing. Writing is meditation for me and the only thing I hope when someone reads my work is that, it brings as much pleasure to its reader as it does to its writer.
