What is courage? The definition of courage as described in the dictionary is the ability to do something that frightens one. Courage can be anything. Anyone can be a courageous person. In today’s time, we live in a world that pushes us to do lots of things that we are afraid of doing. Each day, we are given new challenges and each day we strive to rise above them.
As Mary Anne Radmacher says “Courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I’ll try again tomorrow.”
The definition of courage states that it is doing something that you are afraid of. But we as humans tend giving up when the things get rough. For us, courage only means being physically strong and facing the physical hurdles. When in reality doing the smallest deed that scares us like going out in the dark, sleeping alone, giving an exam and much more can make us the most courageous person of all. As Mary Anne says, the courage does not have to roar; it does not have to be big, it just needs to be the small challenges.
Never Give Up, Always Try Again
It is really easy to give up and never to try again when we feel like the things are getting tough in life. People are afraid to try again. However, this is the biggest mistake they make. They miss the opportunity of being a courageous person every day. No matter who you are, if you do not run away from your problems and face the day with all the energy you have, you show immense courage. No matter you fail 100 times. If you show the courage to try again tomorrow, you will surely succeed 101th time. It is not always about the bigger challenges, but it is about the small challenges that you face while fighting through that bigger problem. Success only comes to those who try, and you should be a courageous person who dares to try again and again.
How to Motivate Yourself to Try Again
Finding motivation is a tough task on the day to day bases. Especially during the time of failures, getting the right kind of motivation can make a huge difference in your life. So if you are looking for motivation in your life that will get you through the hard times and help you try again tomorrow, follow the necessary steps below:
1. Trust Yourself – The first thing to do is have faith in you. A person who has confidence in himself is always motivated to try again and again, no matter how many time he fails. You should know that you are capable of everything and life is a learning process.
2. Know that Failure is Not Bad – You need to realize that failure is not the end of the world. When a child starts to learn how to walk, he falls hundreds of time. If a small child with very little intelligence can understand that falling is not bad, then you should also.
3. Talk to the People You Trust – Talking and sharing your problems with people you trust can keep you motivated. These people will show faith in you and push you to try again.
4. Help Yourself – The only person that can motivate you is you. If you do not want to be motivated, if you do not want to try again, you will not. Hence keep faith in yourself. Stay positive and become a courageous person.
