If a girl grows up believing she is pretty, then she will have self-esteem and confidence in herself. So it is better to regard every little girl as pretty. A well known American actress and model Marilyn Monroe believed that “All little girls should be told they are pretty, even if they aren’t.” It is a wonderful quote which explains the need to appreciate every little girl regardless of the physical appearance. Do you know that their life would be more comfortable if they said they look pretty? But what is pretty? Or how can we define prettiness?

Mostly prettiness is compared with the unrealistic factors such as color, race, money and much more. However, they should not be judged by the world and should be given enough freedom to do what they feel good.

Boosts their Confidence

A well intentioned quote tells about the need to give a boost of confidence to the little girls from the very start. It’s not about saying they are beautiful but it is more than that.

Every woman is aware of the prettiness factor. Many girls spend their lives living up to people’s expectations of prettiness. A part of the fortune is spent in chasing the unreachable goal.

Live the Way You Like

Our societies have certain norms which define pretty. They place pressure on women to follow their standards. Mostly women are put under pressure to look in a certain way.

However, every little girl can dress the way she likes and does not get afraid to wear her favorites. If they are less insecure about themselves, then the world will become a better place. They feel comfortable and will be happy. Our lives would be a lot happier when every woman feels better.

Every little girl is pretty, and it should be said to her as it helps to build their confidence. The society we live, beauty plays a very important role, and some people consider it as a high regard. So, they need to be assured that they are beautiful and special in this world.

Express Appreciation for Prettiness

Besides helping them in their works, you can appreciate small things to lift their spirit. They may look normal but a lot goes in their mind. Your appreciation can change their entire day and mood. You no doubt appreciate it when someone overlooks your mistakes and shortcomings, especially if you’ve been under a lot of stress. Can you do the same for your little girl?

Rather than telling only their faults, try to look for an opportunity to tell them what it is that you admire about them.

Practical Steps To Do:

  • Your little girls likely have qualities that you admire. Write down one thing that you appreciate about them.

  • Strengthen your friendship by putting up with one another.

Do More than Just Words

Words are effective but don’t underestimate the importance of the actions. Try to express prettiness through small gestures and gifts. No matter what, girls appreciate receiving something that lets her know that she is pretty and you value her. Inner beauty is something that can be experienced by a person’s character rather than physical appearances.

Conclusion

So try to tell every little girl that she looks pretty as it builds her overall confidence. Make them feel special and it bights up their life when they grow. Physical appearances should not be brought into picture to tell about their value. Their inner belief gets developed by appreciation. Help them to accept their own beauty and let them understand their prettiness.
