What Is Leadership To You?

You must have heard about the great leaders who made lots of positive changes to our world and made it a better place to live in. They all had different visions; different thought processes but they all did the same thing; they gave people a direction to achieve a particular destination.

Let me ask you a question. What is leadership to you? Maybe a process to manage a group of people or maybe a dealer who deals in hope.

Different people might have different opinions and fortunately, most of them are correct. One of those opinions explains the Leadership as the power to transform the vision into reality.

When we are talking about the quality of transforming vision into reality, it requires forecasting power, a well-developed thought process and the power of taking appropriate actions on time which a good leader always possesses.

The forecasting power helps a leader to make a vision; a well-developed thought process helps him to find the way through which he could convert the vision into reality and the efficiency of taking appropriate actions on time helps him to actualize the vision into reality.

All our great leaders had a great vision. They gave their entire life to actualize it. They all faced thousands of difficulties but they never gave up and became an inspiration for others.

Millions of people joined them and followed them to the way to actualize the vision into reality. They made their visions a reality and entered their name in the list of great leaders. They succeeded because they had all those essential qualities of transforming the vision into reality.

Warren Bennis, in one of his quotes, said, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.”

Conclusion

Different people may have different opinions on leadership. One of the most important characteristics of leadership is the ability to convert the vision into reality. Almost all our great leaders made their great vision a reality and became an inspiration for others.

So, if someone wants to be a leader, he/she must have the essential quality of converting the vision into reality.
